SBFV holds a number of regular events each year:

Spina Bifida Awareness Week

1st – 7th September

SBFV and our community of supporters promote awareness of spina bifida every September by hosting various activities, events, presentations, radio announcements and a CBD window display. Please contact us if you'd like to get involved.

Night of Celebration

Every November, SBFV hosts our Night of Celebration (including our AGM) for members, supporters and special guests to join and toast the year’s achievements. The evening includes Achievement Awards, guest speakers, entertainers, prizes, gifts and supper.

International Day of People with Disability

3rd December

In 1992, following the United Nations Decade of Disabled Persons, the General Assembly proclaimed 3rd December as the International Day of Disabled Persons.

Bringing together individuals, businesses, community organisations and governments worldwide, the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) celebrates and acknowledges the contributions, skills and achievements of people with disability.

SBFV is proud to be involved each year in the IDPwD.
